Design your own free menu template

Design your own free menu template

Instructions on how to design your own free menu template, price list or menu card.

If you wish to design your own menu and are not ready to spend a lot of money on it, then you’ve come to the right place. All you need is a computer and Microsoft Word program. You will be using free templates and working with them is like working in Word. So you are able to make your own free menu template easily.

Before we begin, I suggest you make a list in a Word document of all the information you would like your menu to contain:

  • Number of pages;
  • Type of design (minimalistic or with a lot of graphics);
  • Menu sections;
  • Required legal information.

If you’re going to print the menu yourself, check your printer, because not all of them are good in terms of picture or color quality.

Selecting your template and designing the menu

Microsoft Word program contains some templates but I would suggest you go immediately to the page: Free menu templates where you can select the one that suits your needs the most, download it and it is ready for use.

Begin inserting information in the document you downloaded by clicking on the box you wish to write in. After you’re finished, don’t forget to “Save” so you can come back to your document next time.

When you have filled the template and after several tests you are ready to print the final version, just go to “File” and “Print.” If you want to print on both sides of the paper, just set the printer to “Duplex” so is prints pages in order.
